Who We Are

Feel Grow Connect CIC (FGC) is a Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing, confidence, communication, and personal development of children, young people, and families.

Through group programmes, one-to-one support, workshops, and community projects, we provide safe, engaging, and reflective spaces where individuals can explore emotions, build resilience, and strengthen relationships.

Our work is built on trust, safeguarding, inclusion, and respect.

Our Governance

Feel Grow Connect CIC is a formally registered Community Interest Company (CIC) operating for the benefit of the community.

As a CIC, we are committed to maintaining high standards of safeguarding, accountability, professionalism, and ethical practice.

This means:

• Safeguarding policies and procedures are embedded throughout our work

• Policies are reviewed regularly and updated in line with current legislation and statutory guidance

• We maintain appropriate safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures

• We are accountable to our Board of Directors, the CIC Regulator, funders, commissioning organisations, and relevant safeguarding authorities

• All services are delivered in accordance with our organisational values and commitment to the wellbeing of children and young people

What Information We Collect

We may collect:

• Parent or carer contact details (name, telephone number, email address)

• Child or young person's name, age, school, setting, or placement information

• Consent forms for participation, photography, and communication

• Session notes and observations relevant to emotional wellbeing and programme delivery

• Evaluation forms, surveys, and feedback

This information is collected directly from parents, carers, referral agencies, schools, professionals, or through participation in our services.

Why We Collect Information

We collect information to:

• Safeguard children and young people

• Deliver personalised and appropriate support

• Communicate with parents, carers, schools, and professionals

• Monitor progress and programme outcomes

• Meet our safeguarding and legal responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve our services

We do not sell personal information and will only share information where consent has been provided or where there is a safeguarding or legal obligation to do so.

How We Store Information

 

Information is stored securely through:

• Password-protected and encrypted digital systems

• Secure cloud-based storage services

• Locked physical storage for paper records

Access is restricted to authorised personnel who require the information to fulfil their role and safeguarding responsibilities.

Photography, Creative Work & Media Consent

Photographs, artwork, written reflections, quotes, or creative outputs will never be shared publicly without explicit written consent.

Separate permission will always be sought for:

• Photography and video recording

• Sharing work with families, schools, or partner organisations

• Use in reports, funding applications, promotional materials, websites, or social media

Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain information only for as long as it is necessary to provide services, meet safeguarding responsibilities, or fulfil contractual and legal obligations.

In most cases, records will be securely deleted or destroyed within 12 months of the final contact unless a longer retention period is required by law, safeguarding guidance, insurance requirements, or contractual agreements.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you or your child

• Request corrections to inaccurate information

• Withdraw consent where applicable

• Request deletion of personal data

• Raise concerns about how information is used

Safeguarding Concerns

If information is shared that suggests a child, young person, or vulnerable adult may be at risk of harm, Feel Grow Connect CIC has a duty to share relevant information with appropriate safeguarding agencies in line with safeguarding legislation and procedures.

Where appropriate and safe to do so, we will aim to discuss this with the individual and/or parent or carer first.
