Feel Grow Connect: Safeguarding & Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Feel Grow Connect (FGC) is an independent emotional wellness initiative led by Siobhan Buckley. We support children, young people, and families through group programmes, one-to-one sessions, and community projects. Our work is built on trust, safeguarding, and confidentiality.

How We Are Governed

Feel Grow Connect operates with safeguarding at its core and is underpinned by Cleaner Steps CIC, a formally registered Community Interest Company.

Cleaner Steps provides a clear framework of governance and accountability to ensure that FGC meets high standards of safety, professionalism, and ethical practice.

This means:

• Safeguarding policies and procedures are set and overseen at organisational level
• Policies are reviewed regularly and updated in line with statutory guidance
• We are accountable to our CIC board of directors, the CIC Regulator, and to external safeguarding requirements from local authorities and funders.

Our Commitment

  • Children and young people’s safety comes first.

  • We follow GDPR and data protection law.

  • We only collect and use information in ways that protect wellbeing and dignity.

  • Young person’s name, age, school or placement

  • Consent forms (photos, session participation)

  • Session notes or observations (non-clinical, wellness-focused)

  • Feedback forms or evaluations

Why We Collect This Information

We use information to:

  • Keep children and young people safe

  • Tailor support to individual needs

How We Store Information

  • Physically in locked cabinets (for signed forms or written notes)

Access is restricted to Siobhan Buckley (Founder) and, where appropriate, trusted safeguarding contacts.

Photos and Creative Work

Photos, artwork, or quotes are never used publicly without separate written permission. Consent is always asked for:

  • Taking photos

  • Sharing with families/organisations

  • Use in reports, social media, or promotional material

Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

How Long We Keep Information

We only keep data for as long as needed to:

  • Provide support or safeguarding

Under GDPR, you have the right to:
